Doug was born in Jamaica and raised on a farm. He grew up working with cattle, pigs, chickens, dogs and horses. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (University of Guelph) in 2005. After spending 3 years in rural mixed-animal practice, Doug has been working at Billings Bridge Animal Hospital since 2008. He is a partner and the Managing Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys surgery and spends a lot of time doing dentistry. He is married to Dr. Mijanou Hopwood and they have two sons and two dogs. He loves spending time outdoors and watching his sons play sports.
